The Comal County Fair Association is made up of thousands of people. We have shareholders, and then a group of shareholders that are current members. Members are made from our drovers, directors, and senior directors. Anyone can be a shareholder by filling out the shareholder application and returning to the fair office with the fee. To become a member you must be a shareholder, volunteered for the fair, filled out application for drover and be elected by the directors. To advance in the association you must serve two (2) years as a drover before being eligible to apply for director. Directors are voted on by all shareholders. Once elected as a director, you must serve twelve (12) years as a director in order to take Senior Director status. All members are required to attend five (5) mandatory meetings a year and volunteer to work twenty (20) hours the week of the fair. Senior Directors are exempt from meetings and working the fair.
